Patrick Vincent, Ergonomist

Vincent Ergonomie is a company founded by Patrick Vincent, Ergonomist. Patrick Vincent holds Canadian certification as a professional ergonomist (CCPE), which is the highest level of certification for Canadian ergonomists. Patrick Vincent has worked for 10 years in the field of ergonomics, beginning as a consultant for over two years at the General Motors plant in Boisbriand. While there, he gave several training sessions in preventing musculoskeletal disorders for groups composed of employees, union and management. Before being hired at the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé pour la santé et la sécurité du travail (IRSST) in 1999, Patrick Vincent completed a variety of mandates in ergonomics in sectors like road transport, aeronautics and electronics. As an IRSST research assistant, Patrick Vincent worked on the project "Exploratory study of musculoskeletal problems in film and video technicians: Occupational injuries, task requirements, work organisation, and time stress.”
Patrick Vincent is widely recognized for his expertise in Ergonomics Quality In Facility Design and he participated in several large-scale architectural projects, notably on the construction of the new building of the National Library of Quebec in Montreal and the restoration of the Palais Montcalm in Quebec City. His expertise has led to his teaching a course in workspace design for the graduate diploma program in Ergonomics at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in 2007.It was as a consultant for seven years with the Association paritaire pour la santé et la sécurité du travail, secteur Affaires municipales (APSAM), that Patrick Vincent developed an in-depth knowledge of the public sector and the service sector in general. He has authored numerous publications on ergonomics for APSAM and the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST). Patrick Vincent is a talented interpreter of scientific and technological news for a popular audience.
Patrick Vincent served as an examiner for Canadian College for the Certification of Professional Ergonomists in 2006 and 2007. This body was created by the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE) to enable customers for ergonomics services to recognize professionals who have the genuine training and experience needed for work in the field of ergonomics.
Patrick Vincent is a member of The Chamber of Commerce of Vaudreuil-Dorion.
Renée Guillemette, Ergonomist
Renée Guillemette was trained as a physiotherapist and ergonomist. She first worked as a physiotherapist in a private clinic and a hospital in the Trois-Rivières region, before practicing full-time as an ergonomist, which she has continued to do for over five years.
Through her training, Renée Guillemette has developed a special expertise in analyzing workstations vis-à-vis the functional limitations of employees. She frequently acts as an ergonomic consultant on such cases for the Commission de la santé et de la sécurité du travail (CSST) and for various companies of all sizes. These types of mandates have enabled her to gain experience of different business sectors (health, manufacturing, retail, construction and transportation) and to acquire an extensive knowledge of Quebec realities regarding the work environment.
Renée Guillemette is dedicated to adult education. She is an experienced teacher who has taught numerous courses on workplace ergonomics and has frequently been engaged as lecturer at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) in the departments of Human Kinetics and Industrial Engineering. During recent years, she has lectured in the following courses: Elements of Ergonomics, Kinesiology in physical activity and health, and Physical Therapy.
Renée Guillemette is a member of the Ordre professionnel de la physiothérapie du Québec (OPPQ) and the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE). She is also a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce of the Mauricie.
