Founded in 2005, Vincent Ergonomie Inc. has rapidly succeeded in securing a choice position in the ergonomics consulting industry. The firm has several ergonomists and an administrative permanence to ensure effective follow-up of all requests and client files. Since its creation, the ergonomists of Vincent Ergonomie accomplished mandates across the North America: from Kuujjuaq to Dallas, including Vancouver and Halifax.

Patrick Vincent, founder and principal ergonomist of the firm, has been working for more than 20 years in ergonomics and licensed by the Canadian College for the Certification of Professional Ergonomists. The CCCPE is an instance created by the Association of Canadian Ergonomists (ACE). Besides, Patrick Vincent has acted as an evaluation member on the Council in 2006 and 2007, to assess candidates’ files to the Canadian certification of professional ergonomists.
Patrick Vincent started his firm, Vincent Ergonomie, after he has been able to carry out a variety of major projects in ergonomics has an advisor for 7 years for the Assocation paritaire pour la Santé et la Sécurité du travail, Municipal Affairs sector (APSAM). Working for APSAM, Patrick Vincent acquired a solid knowledge of the municipal sector and of highly unionized environments. He also wrote numerous of articles and documents for the APSAM and the CNESST, about ergonomics of police belt and ergonomics conception in libraries.
Patrick Vincent has a vast experience in managing mandates for major projects, such as advising on construction projects, research projects and products development, concept of patrol vehicle cabin, and development of multimedia solutions. All these projects have been completed after several months and have implied numerous of partners and participants.
The Ergonomics Leaders to Design Workspaces
Recognized for its expertise in design, Vincent Ergonomie participated in numerous major architectural and industrial projects including the construction and the redevelopment of the BAnQ (the Grande Bibliothèque, the National Library and the National Archives), the construction of the ABB St-Laurent Campus, the construction of an organic materials treatment center in St-Laurent and a biomethanization Centre in Montreal-Est. Vincent Ergonomie had completed hundred of projects in ergonomics workspaces. The firm is also very involved in sustainable development in construction. Vincent Ergonomie is a Service Partner of the Maison du développement durable. Vincent Ergonomie obtained the first-ever granted credit in Quebec LEED Innovation & Pilot credits in Ergonomics for the project Marc-Favreau Library in the Rosemont-La Petite-Patrie district. Since then, the firm is pursuing its work in sustainable green building (LEED & WELL).

The Ergonomics Firm for the Policing World
Vincent Ergonomie has extensive expertise in ergonomics related to the policing sector. Ergonomics services provider of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal (SPVM), the Sûreté du Québec (SQ, Nationale Police Force), and others police services such as the Toronto Police Service, Vincent Ergonomie performs job retention and returning to work interventions for police officers who experience discomforts with their belt. Vincent Ergonomie also conducts ergonomics assessments to provide help to police services to ergonomize the patrol car cabins. We support police services during air bags tests to ensure conformity of the installation of computer designed to police work. This ergonomics expertise also covers a large range of other subjects such as training for the use of the battering ram, reorganisation of all workspaces of the 911 call centre, construction of police station, etc.

Mr. Vincent, Mr. Bouchard et Ms Morvan are involved in the Association professionnelle des ergonomes du Québec (APEQ). Mr. Bouchard is also involved in the communications committee of the APEQ, and Ms Morvan is involved in the ethics committee of the APEQ. Mr. Vincent has initiated the Table d’étude conjointe de l’Association professionnelle des ergonomes du Québec et de l’Association professionnelle des designers d’intérieur du Québec pour les aménagements et environnement de travail en mode pandémie et post-pandémie.
During the pandemic, Mr. Vincent was also involved in many projects:
Mr. Vincent acted as an advisor on the advisory committee of the COVIDesign project by Design Montréal de la Ville de Montréal and coordinate by Architecture Without Borders Quebec (AWBQ). This research project led to the publication of the Guide d’aménagement commerce résilient. Repenser le design de commerce après la pandémie.
Mr. Vincent has been involved in the organisation of the Semaine du télétravail, an event by the NPO Télétravail Québec. The 2021 event took place from September 13th to 17th and has attracted more than 500 persons, and the event covered 5 major subjects including Ergonomics and planning under the guidance of Patrick Vincent.
Mr. Vincent has participated to many conferences about remote work and the organisation of work in hybrid mode. These conferences were given for many organisations such as Index-design, the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agrees (CRHA), Contech, and Guide Télétravail Québec. Mr Vincent is also the content director of the ergonomics department of the Guide Télétravail Québec, a platform developed by the Conseil du Patronat du Québec (CPQ).
Finally, Vincent Ergonomie pursues its long-standing involvement of sustainable building. Mr. Bouchard is involved in the communications committee of the Canada Green Building Council (now Bâtiment durable Québec) since many years. Mr. Vincent is also involved and is a trainer for Bâtiment durable Québec. By participating in the certification of many projects earning to LEED certification, he is also the only ergonomists in Quebec to obtain the WELL AP certification, a professional title conferred by the International Well Building Institute (IWBI).
